It all depends on the tech support companies. If they have quality staffs and if they response quickly with resolution for the issues, then you shouldn't have much problem.

Depends on the size of the company as well. If you have a lot of customers and the company is understaffed, then I say go for outsourcing. :P

I won't mind outsourcing support infrastructure, but oddly, clients do...

If it's a startup business I would recommend you to go with your own staffs.

I won't recommend so, unless it is a big one. I recommend small start-up companies to outsource their support to keep initial cost low. Moreover, it is pointless to hire dedicated staffs working for you when you do not have much stuffs for them to work for.

If its a startup business, then its better to outsource the technical support. You can have your own staffs once you get enough customers and have clear cut business plans.

Okay, just hold on ... so if you have less than 25 clients you should use your super power to support - in other case if you have more than appx. 25 customer you have resort to outsourcing support.
Well, i met some really hard geeks and they could support their sites up to ~ 100 clients 16-18hours/day ... that was nice :P

outsourcing

Hi Hussain,

It really matters where you outsource. There are plenty of companies earning more profits on outsourcing.

Plesk outsources its CP development team and support, Dell Outsourced their support to major countries and I can list out some huge companies.

For start up companies, I strongly recommend outsourcing because their investment is reduced to the maximum. It is essential to increase your online availability till your company reaches some respective amount of clients.

Before you outsource, check the credibility and reputation of the company.

Cheers!
