Post No to top hosting threads

      Hi,

I've seen that it has become business as usual some folks to come to spam WebHostingChat. Most spamming thread refer to some "top hosting sites", one of those that place affiliate links and banners of hosting providers. WOuld you agree that users that open such self promotional threads have to be permanently banned after their first violation.

Yeah surely this should be a concern. Another tactic is some what interesting. Ask for a service or anything and add the name of the company name in the thread. I am not sure if they are really looking for a sign up with them. Most probably they are not. Thanks fcolor for making a thread on this. Hopefully as our Administrator said this will be stopped soon in our community.

It is mostly one or two people running around doing this. I have seen a number of the threads you refer to - and yes they are quite annoying.

I am just curious as to whether or not it is working for this guy - he keeps doing it so it must be doing something....
