Just for anybody who needs reliable support from their host, Rackspace have announced a list of 5 elements on which they promise their customers they will deliver. It seems a pretty impressive list of points to commit to, and this should throw down a challenge to get other hosting providiers to improve on their support services. You can read all about it here.

I'd like to add some words about support that is reliable for me. Think all depends on the company you are with.
ServerPoint.com, SiteGround.com and MarbleHost.com provide support that is fast and quality for me. Moreover their tech staff is rather friendly.

I think one of the better ways to find out support speeds is to just ask them yourselves by emailing their sales/support staff.

I find that a lot of hosts promise 'the best, unparraleled' (excuse the spelling) support, and rarely provide, and then the ones with no guarentees, like HostGator, seem to have amazing support (I'm with them now) so, try it out. Hostgator one cent = excellent testout. find a complex problem for them to solve

I think that not only big company promise and big ones as well. I would recommend you considering other companies as well.

I found many hosting company out there are fraud. So far I found www.super2host.com which is one of best and reliable webhosting company for VERY good price.

For me good support involves timely response and good communication. Being late with reasons for a serious problem is a major turn off.

I have seen that MarbleHost.com provides 1-hour response time guarantee. I thinkl they have solves all issues for that period of time and dare say, it's very quickly.

One more thing - issues can be different and may take different time.

Solidhost.com is a company with the level of suport matching that of Rackspace.com, they have excellent reviews http://www.webhostingstuff.com/comme...ost-10437.html and postive threads at WHT.
They manage to get a really good niche with pro-active support feature.
