User Name & Passwords in Dreamweaver 8

Help! Please!!!

OK. Here's what happened. My computer was spazzing out so I decided to quick restore the whole thing...which fixed the spaz. Only problem is that when I go into Dreamweaver 8 to update my website, it says there is an FTP error in the user name or password and won't let me upload my new info. I just can't remember the user name and/or password. Anyone know how to go about getting that information back? Is there a file somewhere that I'm just not finding with that info in it? I am no computer genius so this has been a nearly impossible thing to figure out. Heck, I can't even figure out how to register my Dreamweaver copy on that Adobe site. I found a "tech note" online that talks about "open the sshd_config file in a text editor usually located at: /etc/ssh/sshd_config." Where on earth do I go to find that??? Can somebody speak to me in "idiot talk" so that I will understand? Thanks.

you mean the username and password for your website? which you use to publish pages on using dreamweaver? if it is that then you should ask help of your host.

Thanks for the reply. No, it's not the host password and username, it's a password and username within Dreamweaver itself saying that an FTP error has occured which is preventing me from connecting to the host.

I also found a tech note which addressed a solution to this problem. It said: "open the sshd_config file in a text editor usually located at: /etc/ssh/sshd_config." Where on earth do I go to find that??? Where do I find a text editor file like this?

i think you are talking aboutthe testing server you set up to use for the site . go to edit sites and click on the name of your site in dreamweaver, then edit the username and password you entered for your host,
