HOWTO setup RAID on windows 2003 server??

Hello everybody

Here's the senario/question.

I've a windows 2003 server and i want to create RAID on it and its got SERIOUS SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT CODE.

So i'm looking for a step by step tutorial on doing that plus i wanna know everything that needs to be known in terms of disaster recovery/planning etc.

Are you looking for the software based RAID or hardware based?

If he is looking for a step by step tutorial, he probably doesn't know the difference.

What I advise you to do, is read up on raid. I have a short little chart explaining some different RAID types on my website.

You'll probably want to buy a PCI controller card that does RAID, but I don't know the specs of your server.

I would recommend using the VTC $30/mo university to get video training that will go over all of this information, plus it will cover many other subjects. In this case you would want to look at the Windows Server 2003 (70-293) exam prep course which includes the information about Basic and Dynamic Disk and Fault Tolerance. That will answer your questions, plus with a membership here you can go right to those two videos regarding that subject and only have to spend 10:02 minutes total learning about it instead of hours of reading to find it.
