can we connect XP to Linux Printer

How do we connect XP to linux printer?. Do we need any special software
to be instatlled on linux box?. Please let me know.

Right you need to install a program for Samba Server, www.samba.org.

This program implements the SMB protocol for Linux. then you need to open /etc/samba/smb.conf, find the printers header and add your printer to share on your network, I will say this can very easy or just a complete pain.
