Antivirus
Hi Guys,
My laptop just crashed recently due to a trojan virus. The antivirus which i was using was Norton which got expired recently and also my system was really slow cause of that. Can someone tell me which is the best antivirus now available in the market. Heard from friends that Kaspersky and Quick Heal are good from 1 or 2 people. But need to know if this is the best or am i missing any new one.
Suggestions Welcome!!

I'm using Avast in my systems which work well. We've uninstalled Norton from our systems 2 years before, since it was really a CPU resource hogging software.
Who am I?

I usually recomend to my PC clients when I do computer repair to use AVAST free, and Comodo free for your firewall. Both low use low resources, highly reliable and free.

I use Kaspersky for its comprehensive protection but it is $80 for a mininum of 3 licenses. AVG is the best free anti-virus app from the ones I've tested. I have heard good things about Nod32 but haven't tried it yet.

Higly recommend AVAST and NOD32 since they are not resource consuming.

I recommend avast after trying out many anti-virus softwares. It's free, and great! I'll comment on the major ones I had used, as some of those, I had only tried a while before changing, and hence I can't remember it vividly. I first tried Norton if I remember correctly, but it is really a piece of crappy software. Virus, trojans and everything keeps attacking non-stop! When I switched to AVG based on reviews by other users, things went a bit better. However, virus and trojans still attacks periodically. After the switch to avast, I'm free of all problems. No more headaches on virus, trojans or whatsoever problems. It even warns you when the site you are visiting contains malicious virus, trojans etcetera. The best thing is, it scans for problems automatically without me interfering. I really love it!
