Setting up a development team?
Wasn't sure where to put this inquiry. Had thought of 2 other sub-forums, but settled on here.
I think of various levels of web design/ development. Well primarily 3 levels, based on size of site really.
I feel I could handle design for sites that are say 10 pages or less and fairly static, and could do so in reasonable time. I call this Web Design Level 1, or WD1.
Then there are sites that are perhaps bit more dynamic and say up to 25 pages (maybe more), and I see that as just beyond my current capabilities. I see this next level as WD2.
And then sites that are say at minimum 25 pages and could be 100's of pages are what I feel is WD3, or what more experienced / higher capability Development teams are working on.
I'm wondering what developers have to say about this? Also wondering where developers fit into this paradigm? I see it as 1 full time developer, at most, is needed for WD1 and WD2 work (maybe with idea of 1 to 2 part time support, depending on volume of orders) and that 2 or more (likely more) developers needed for the WD3 support.
I do very much desire to discuss this with others as it helps me wrap my mind around roles and functions for a development team.
Thanks,
Jman
P.S. If it matters, here is link to post that provides some idea of where I'm at, in general.

Hello,
IMHO it depends on your projects. If you have a template for the standard websites (company image site, online store etc..) you will need 1 designer and 1 developer. If you work on custom complicated projects you will need a project leader, more developers, quality assurance and testers.
