Well... if we want to get technical, you could always install VMware on a windows box and run a VM install of linux. There are even a ton of sort-of ready made VM images of various linux platforms on their website available for download. Some of them are pretty interesting, too.

Close all programs, insert the CD-ROM and run setup_linux.exe.
