You can't install Linux on Windows because Linux is it's own OS just like Windows. Any more questions?

Well... if we want to get technical, you could always install VMware on a windows box and run a VM install of linux. There are even a ton of sort-of ready made VM images of various linux platforms on their website available for download. Some of them are pretty interesting, too.
