Why you need to remove entry from /etc/localdomains? if adding and removing is not affecting other functionality then you can use simple text editor to do so. I would suggest always use control panel for that.

You can any available text editor.
I like to use VIM. Vim is an advanced text editor that seeks to provide the power of the de-facto Unix editor 'Vi', with a more complete feature set. It's useful whether you're already using vi or using a different editor.
Vim isn't an editor designed to hold its users' hands. It is a tool, the use of which must be learned.
Vim isn't a word processor. Although it can display text with various forms of highlighting and formatting, it isn't there to provide WYSIWYG editing of typeset documents. (It is great for editing TeX, though.)

welcome home : vim online
