Posting input problems in THIS forum.
You have included too many images in your signature or in your previous post. Please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.
Images include use of smilies, the vB code ***** tag and HTML **** tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.
What's up with this? I even had to replace the error tags with **** to ATTEMPT to get THIS post to post, and STILL had problems. There wasn't ANY tags in the post I am TRYING to make, which is another one of the articles you guys have asked me to post, and THIS is what I keep running into when I try to make posts. I keep having to FIGHT with the input to get anything posted, so where does this encourage me to do as you have asked me to do? Yes, I am frustrated, I have NOTHING in my signature that I know of, and I've done it this way to try and be able to post until I reach your "posting amounts" so I don't run into this problem. What's up with this? Can you now see why I haven't posted all THAT much here yet? I don't have the time to be fighting with the input, and when the input is already stripped of the tags, then what else am I to do to avoid the error message? It's getting old guys, sorry, but I'm becoming less and less inclined to keep trying to post when I have to spend almost 30 or more minutes fighting with the form to try to get something to post, even when there is no tags in the present post. I guess I'll even have to remove the format tags to segregate the sections to be able to post until this is lifted. Sorry to those that find the next few posts difficult to read, but the forum "rules" make it IMPOSSIBLE for me to do otherwise. FRUSTRATING.

It's getting to the point where I almost feel the urge to CHEAT, just post jibberish in order to meet the posting requirements, and I don't want to do that, but, well, guess I'll just have to run around to some of the other articles, invest the time, read, reply, and then I guess I won't have to fight with the input anymore. It's still a bit frustrating when basically invited by someone to post, but then made to jump through hoops in order to be able to post. Still FRUSTRATING and time consuming, something I really don't have a lot of at the moment.

Well if what you want to post a thread which is very long then you will have to make it into many parts e.g two parts. That is all . And I will move your thread this to the feed back section of the forum since it not article.

That isn't the problem Kooshin, but thanks for the reply, and sorry that I posted it in the wrong area. I have MS Office 2003 with word and space count, and cut the article up before attempting to post it to make sure that it meets the board space posting requirements. That isn't the problem, it's the stuff at the beginning of the post when the only thing I've been doing to the article is formating the section headers with larger font and different color for better ease of reading. I've also bolded them, and don't see why that should be a problem nor a penalty on posting.
Again, it's just too time consuming, NOT user friendly, and beyond my patience levels, especially when I've been "invited" to post articles here. With all the negatives, what incentive do I have to post my articles when it takes so much time away from other things I must do? Simple solution would to make this board a bit more "user friendly" for those that are "invited" to post articles. It's something that shouldn't be too hard through the user interface to accomplish. I could see if I was posting repeated links to affiliate programs without any added article content, or if I was killing the post with dozens of images, but that isn't the case.
I'm a busy business owner and have clients and a family to provide for. I can't be taking HOURS to do something that should only require 15 minutes maximum. It's something that I would advise the board administrators to consider. If you want published writers to post articles in your forum, then you need to do something to make it "user friendly" for them, NOT leave obstacles in place to prevent unwanted posting techniques from the general internet visitors. Just my two cents.
Again, if I wasn't "invited" to post articles, I probably wouldn't feel this way or be so frustrated about fighting with the board. The difference here is that I am trying to do something I was asked to do, but being made to jump through hoops while wasting time trying to accomplish that request. Something needs to be done, or as I have already stated, I won't be making it back by this board. Understand, this isn't the ONLY board that I do such things for, and to have to spend more time here because of the lack of cooperation, it takes away from the others that have made the same request of me. That isn't fair to them when they make it easy for me to be able to do as they have requested.

Hi,
2 things.
1. You could be able to just copy and paste and the board should leave all the formating in such as bold etc as we have a WYSIWIG submitted. Hence copy and paste from word should work.
2. We do not make this board. We apologise and will reccommend to vBulluitin that they do something about it.
If you wish for me or anyone else to submit your article please ask. I do have some time to do it.

Thanks to all for the posts, and another thanks to the offer of help, but again, I don't see the reason to burden others with more work when I am sure that others are just as busy as I am. I'm not the only one around here running a business, or writing as part of my profession, and I'm probably not the only one working on a degree at the moment either. In responce to the smiley thing, that's not it either, as I have AVOIDED them in the beginning posts because I KNEW it would be considered in the posting rules and didn't want to "hinder" my posting abilities. I'm not sure, but again, if this board is anything like phpBB, then the admin area is a place that certain permissions can be assigned to posters, and then this wouldn't be a problem for those "invited" to post articles. I don't want to tell someone else how to run the board, but I know that there are admin functions that can solve this problem. I'll see if I can't download a trial version locally and test it out on my local test server. Maybe then I can at least add hints or tips to accomplish this.
Oh, and by the way Tris, when ya do? ROFLMAO. Thanks for the "in" on that one flump LOL.
