I think WorldCom Canada was the first commercial Internet access provider in 1991.

Good information etech! But a question, just because WorldCom was the first ISP does not necessarily mean they were the first shared host. Do you know them to be the first shared host for sure? Just interested...

If I am not wrong, Xanthia web hosting came into existance in 1991 starting from Penn state university starting primarily service to friends and acquaintance to have a reliable and personal web and mail service.Thereafter probably vanguard computers came into existance with webhosting and webdesigning and later others....

In reality I got encouragement from you people and gone through offline research through different magazine, newspapers articles published in mid year 1991 and found that information. These important information was not even traceable through google, I wonder.

I really encouraged with those offline methods which we are probably forgetting.
