    How many companies give real 24X7 support

    How many companies give real 24X7 support. Most of them seem to be not truth. What is the response time customers are expecting?,

    welll most the Data Centers do excluding Managed.com. They reply within 15 mins on average. There are quite a few that have "realy" 24/7 support BUT compared to the number of hosts there is only a very small ratio

    It is impossible to estimate it but it is very easy to check does a particular host provide 24/7 support or not? On my opinion it depends of how big the company is. Small companies does not earn enough to pay for 24/7 support. Maybe it is a good decision for them to outsource their support. But I think every serious host must provide round-the-clock customer support.

    I wouldn't expect 24/7 support except on the big hosts which can provide it, and generaly those who want this support are those who afford to pay the extra for the large company's giving this.

    We generally have someone on the clock 24 hours a day. Now, there are some periods where we will got 2-3 hours without someone, but generally someone is always watching the company, even overnite.

    well from my testings , i tested few datacenters ,only RocketColo.net really provided with true 24/7 , other DCs provided with like 17 hours support and few hours of service suspension every day....

    well.. we have staff working round the clock to provide 24*7 support.... and so far thankfully we have not had any problems doing that

    Hi,

    Accu Web Hosting offers 24 X 7 X 365 days support to their customer. We've support team working in a 3 different shifts starting from 6:30 AM EST - 2:30 PM EST, 2:30 PM EST - 10:30 PM EST, 10:30 PM EST - 6:30 AM EST.

    On the US holidays (independent day, christmas, week ends) , we work in our half capacity to offer truly 24 X 7 support.

    This is just from my point of view ok from SEEKSADMIN point of view here.

    Ok you cant really expect any one person to work 12 hours or more a day if you want them to stay sane... and happy.

    So we hire (4) people to cover 24/7 shift (if you hire dedicated support staff). These times overlap slightly they all run 7 hour shifts.

    Just to compare costs with India and the UK (in USD )

    India: $1, 200 in total per month including computer, bandwidth etc
    UK: $11, 540 in total per month including computer and bandwidth

    Thats not including tax. That is why so many people outsource to India man power there is just so much cheaper. Here I was working on the "average" pay for both countries + other costs. I pay my staff more than the average wage so you can see costs mount up quickly

    Well,

    Yes, keeping 3 shifts is real costly and some web hosting companies find it hard to settle with.

    However, we are doing it comfortably right now.
