Thread: Enom Reseller

Well basically, can someone tell me how this works?
I understand if it was a pay as you go domain purchase but its not. You have to pay $100 in advance. So How can I make a profit? I want to charge $8.95/yr and I have a 7.95/yr reseller account.

You might want to rethink pricing. To get the 7.95 price you will need to fund you account($100 a pop).
Next use a domain shopping/cart script to connect with enom. This way you can hace a different processor handle payments.
For credit card purchases add the following .35-.55 transaction fee and 3-5% processing charge. So if you were using paysystems you cost would be around $8.50.
If you used paypal and only accepted cash payments you could lower your cost. You could also package the domain with another service hosting or email accounts to try and make profit.

I think I am just going to hold out on the domain registrations for now.

you get domains at $7.95..sell it above $7.95 -- you make a profit
you create reseller accounts and domain goes off at $8.95 for your resellers, u earn that $1 each time he sells off a domain

yeah... the point of the reseller is the ability to resell enom accounts to other people. like ehostspace said... u can give these accounts out at 8.95 and make 1 dollar per domain they buy. I have a 6.95 account and made $178 in one month... not that bad for less then 10 accounts :P

Do take into account the $3 fee they deduct when you place the $100 deposit. I believe if the purchase is made through a retail account, there is a 3% + $0.95 per transaction fee.

it's a pay as you go only if it is purchased through a retail account. reseller accounts do need all that money upfront :/

Its pretty stupid how they set it up though.
Oh well, I am going to have to re-think a few things before jumping into this. =)
