I've been trying to get the custom error message for a webserver running IIS5 to work with IE. But, IE seesm to be loading its default error message page even though I've already changed this for the particular website in question.
But, in netscape it works fine???

ok i have used both IIS in the past
When i setup custom messages it works fine in IE.
so, let me get this right. You have create the custom page. Given it a name, put it somewhere, and pointed a particular server error to that page.
and in IE, it completly ignores it, and in Netscape it works fine???
can u give me the url so i can test a 404 error in IE??? (if u have created a 404 that is)
Hmmmm, if its serving them to netscape then it sounds like IIS is setup correctly
so, its sounds like its a Client issue. Maybe IE can be setup to override error messages???
check its settings
but if u could give me the link that would be great. Thanx!
