I agree that it is hard work, however, there is a lot that goes into being a successful owner in a short period of time. We've done very well considering we've only been in business for less than 1 year.
Since we started, I haven't had a full nights sleep! I sleep in shifts with a couple other employees, Monty and Jav...not with them but I mean we all trade shifts. Monty works the hardest since he is our tech guru
Anyway, the one thing I can suggest is to treat your customers very well. Have customer service skills, as well as technical support. We recently surveyed our client base and we received the most praises on our fast support responses (every ticket gets response within 30 minutes) and our advance notification of unavoidable maintenance/downtime. Especially our resellers appreciate it so that they don't realize their is downtime when their clients submit support tickets and then they don't know what to say to them until they submit a ticket with us and so forth, which creates frustration on our resellers part.
I found a great article on webhostgear on starting a hosting business:
Hope this helps and good luck!

Well from my experience wih any company the more you put in the more you get out. This does not have to be money but is also time and effort. Money is a great deal though. Invest in a good design, SEO, good helpdesk and billing system etc etc. IT will help a lot and also advertisement. In the end though you have to keep your customers happy. Give them the service that you would want. Think of heaven for hosting and then give it to your customersSeeksadmin - For all your administration and security needs.
