For resellers who mainly rely on their provider to handle technical server issues, it's not hard in a sense that high level knowledge and technical skills will be required, but more that your promoting and marketing skills will be put to the test. With so many competing hosts out there, you need a drive to keep on promoting and have new innovative ideas to get your company recognized and make sales.

It's tough to manage 24 by 7 support feature. Usually, when you are running with a limited technical resource, we some time face trouble in the holidays and weekends to manage the support solutions.
Even if you start your hosting business by purchasing a reseller package, it's not that easy. As a reseller you always rely on your dedicated server owner to answer your technical support queries realted to the server. This sometime results in delayed reply to your customers.
On the contra, it is now a days very easy to setup a hosting website, integrating the billing solution and start whole business.

Well that is difinitely true, If you go with reseller packages, you do not require a lot of deep knowledge, most of the stuff is just set up for you, but yes when it comes to solving customer problems then in most case you have to rely on your web host and hope that your ticket is in front of the others
running a hosting business is not at all easy, but the rewards are justified if hard work is put inCheers,

Well what i was saying is that hosting is SOO easy compared to starting up anouther business.
You dont have to even register the business. You dont have to write a business plan (although you would be wise to). You dont have to pay taxes as your not registered. You dont have to talk or even meet your customers.
There are so many things you dont have to do in hosting which you do in normal business. However the fact that customers expect 24/7 support, as they cant speak to anyone, the fact that you always have to talk to your host/data center to get some things fixed. You have to rely on someone elses network and some other payment processor.
I still think hosting is easy to get into but hard to succeed in. I mean you can tell it is easy with all the 13 year olds coming into it.

Running hosting business is easy. IT business should be the safest career. You have only a very slim chance of turning yourself to carbon due to high voltage electric shock while other career especially manufacturing will anytime drop your limbs
