Anyone on this board use Python for fun or backend scripting? I've done quite a bit of Python programming for college classes, and have been reading a little bit about it's compatibility with the web/cross-platform/jython/etc. I was wondering what you guys knew, or thought about it.
Thanks again for your responses.

I've used Python a bit in the past, mainly for proof of concept scripts as it's very easy to see what a basic Python script does as opposed to, say, c++. I've also hacked together simple Python scrips for clients to automaticaly generate their html pages. I know absolutely nothing about the advanced stuff in Python.
If you like Python then you may well like Ruby. It's rather similar, and I fell in love with it on first use. A current project I'm working on uses a mixture of Ruby and PHP to do some pretty funky stuff.

I did a small project for a class in Python and found it wasnt too hard to get the hang of. I created a little hangman game in it...I wonder what I did with it?
