Account Transfer: FlashFXP vs FTPRush
Alright, I may be new to this site, but I've been ghosting around here for years. I've got my own server, doing the reseller thing, gameservers, domains, site design, etc...
Anyways, I'm not here for this at the moment.
Last night a client came forth (not my client) and wanted us to transfer their site over for them since the company that was supposed to transfer backed out for some reason. Well, it's coming up to the long weekend and all, so of coarse, no one else could do it. Alright I said, it's been awhile, but what the heck, extra cash in the pocket for the weekend? Why not? To keep this short, I exported his db via phpAdmin and sent that over to the other company that wanted to back out (they apparently have limited bandwidth and can't transfer such a large site?). I was thinking to myself, It's just a db, what's so big about it? And that is when I took on the 2.5gb website...800mb of images...plus 350mb of thumbnails, and of coarse the entire site was backed up in some fashion I didn't yet understand. Well, turns out that there is no way I was manually going to 'wget' the entire site. So I ventured out to find new software. I have downloaded just about every ftp program out there from WS, to Voyager to Smartftp; all giving me the exact same results...A 400mb file and a pretty little recursive error. I needed a program that could handle this load. I liked the features of smartftp as I knew it could connect to source and destination both locally. Only thing was it crashed when caching the directory, even when the cache was set to max! In turn, I've only found 2 (apparently there are 3) programs out there that handle server2server transfers.
FlashFXP, FTPRush >& the 3rd UltraFTP (sold to FTPRush).
Anyways, I want to know if there is an advantage to using 1 of these 2 programs over the other. FTPRush seems to have more features, but I simply need an application that will do "ALTERNATIVE FXP'ing". Anyone got any thoughts?

I have used FTPRush and it has more features. I would recommend FTPRush, which has all the featues you look for it.
just my 10% input.

We used SCP with SSH, but if you got no SSH access than FLASHFXP.
