Do we really need forum for webhositng companies?
Do we really need forum for webhosting companies?. How important is it?. Can we have good reputaion if we have forum support?. Any comments from your experience or thoughts?.

The most of our hosting companies have separate Support
Forums. Some of users often use free emails which are not
enough unreliable. On Forums they can inform themselves
about important Announcements.

IMHO, a forum is a form of communication tool to a customer. Its not a must to have a forum but it does help to have one.
I also think it helps to push for sales, probably when a potential client who comes by your site to look for more info about the service level, can find true information from the forum itself. Maybe through post made by the current customers.
Having forums is one thing, having your clients post is another.

also handy for customers talking to customers could be good or bad for Reputation judging by what your customers think so in a way it could be another form of advertising could also be handy for customers to share tips with each other
