I would like to know if I run a server which OS should I run Linux or Unix ..what is your insight?

I would stick to linux, not only because its easier but because you will probably find more support.

i agree,RedHat or Mandrake is probably the easiest Linux to use and FreeBSD is the best *nix

Oh well MAndrake is The BEST.. Easy to use ..Great LOcal language supports..

This is what i use :
Redhat 7.3 as my server
Mandrake MNF (Multi Network Firewall) as the firewall for the server
Windows 2k on the workstations connected to the redhat server
PS i just love how easy it is to network linux and windows together these days

What do you all think of Solaris?? I know a guy who is currently installing it on his server, and I personally have no experience with it... do you know any tips or what not?
