Thread: Domain ownership Problem
02-26-2003, 07:58 PM #1Junior CaGuest
I registered some domains with a company I use for hosting at the moment. Basically they have charged me the fees twice and I have demanded a refund. I dont want to get into a legal discussion here but they have now changed the details in the whois database to their company name from mine even though my name was there previously and I have paid for these.
What I can Do? help me..

so wait, they charged payment for the domain twice? I wouldn't bring out a lawyer just yet, due to the fact that it complicates things. If they charged you twice for the domain and this is like, not yearly apart, ask for a refund on the second purchase. If you don't get any response, look for alternate ways to reach them.
The reason I say not to get a soon is because, they are costly, and really gets things complicated. If possible I would try to get the refund myself at first, and if you really feel as if they won't give it too you, then take action.
File a complaint first, see if you get a responce, then if not, you can try to get your lawyer.

For me, i would allow them a two-weeks grace period before I file a legal suit against them. It's absurd, because you get what you pay for. This company is so unprofessional. Care to tell us which company so we can avoid in the future ?

You must contact with your domain name provider if they don't provide answer than you can file dispute on that company
