Well I like both... well from a clients view I do. But I always prefer reliability.

Though cost is a factor in choosing hosting it should never be the lone factor, what good is hosting even if you pay $1 for a year if it is not up. Its useless. So in my mind the realiability is the most important factor anyone could look at.

Well I saw an English ISP the other day. They were charging £100 PER MONTH for 100mb Space and 1GB bandwidth. No matter what I would never pay that much even if it never went down at all...

Heh ... £100 PER MONTH ... good price
Not always the expensive hosting is quality
but about 80% of the cheep hosts are problematic.
Especially when there are a lot of customers and
overselling is out of control.

Basically the fact is if you are paying $1 for a package ask yourself how are they going to pay to support me? as simple as that

Reliability is more important imo. Yes, it's always nice to get it at a cheap price but I'd be more enclined to pay more if I knew it was worth it.

It's usually not worth it in the end to pay a low price, because then you end up having to dish out more money when something goes wrong. I speak from experience. Do it right the first time, reliable is best!
