If only the first link is important, what should we do for internal linking?
I have heard that only the first link is important because bot will not take any other links that link to the same page, and the anchor text is not important either. This mean that the anchor text of main navigation bar of a site will dominate any link that link to the same page, doesn't it? So, we cannot vary them into different anchor text (we can if we put the main navigation bar to the bottom or to the right hand side).
For this reason, I have questions below.
1. if I put navigation bar to the right hand or to the bottom, will it affect to the bot for reaching links that come after the content.
2. if we use the left hand or top navigation bar, will it be more powerful than the others?
3. Except being able to vary anchor texts into different phrase, Are there any advantages for doing this?
Please give me advices.

All links on web pages can be important and Googlebot will find and crawl them mostly. If the number of links on any page is below 100, you can rest assured that Google will find and follow all of them because this is the way thousands of websites and blogs are currently operating online in a great way and with no problems.
The placement of navigational menus on the top would be preferred because the links would be accessed by both people as well as search engines in a better and faster way but you may think about adding extra units of menus to the sidebars plus footer sections of your pages so that the contents are found better.
