Building a datacenter
Hi All,
If we want to build a datacenter what are things you will consider. Also provide what are the equipments you would choose. For example if there is routers or switches, which model. Advantages of these euipments?.
Let see how this thread go and how we building a very reliable data center end of this thread.

Well I have been here done that sort of thing. But havnt done it.
Security is a big issue. So is pricing. Where to get the servers from etc.
Network. Staffing. I have to go now but I will write more detail when i get back

Well theres plenty of things you need to consider. Staffing it, the building design, server models, your connections to major providers, your routers, switches, and any other networking compenets.

level3 is a definent. They are very expensive though.
there are loads out their. CogentCo you should stay away from. They are imrpoving very quickly but they are not yet good enough. Yipes dont get them as well.
But otherwise there are loads to get.
