Very good arguement, From my point of view, it may override the reseller plan
and VPS will come as reseller plan.
VPSs are based on the concept of partioning the hard drive and give root access to the other admin. They can run multiple applications on the same server with with root access.
VPS technology gives user to have own dedicated server, but at a fraction of the cost.
This is just my thought about VPS. Anyone can share your ideas here.DataCenterTalk Rate, review and Discuss about datacenters.

I tend to agree. VPS's are becoming more and more mainstream as many users like the idea of being able to have their own "root" subsystem and edit it as they please.

VPS is like your own very small dedicated server. It will take over Reseller and possible shared as more and more people want more and more control over what they do. It does however means you will get more questions on Support saying how do I do this etc. and do this for me.

If you use WHM/CPanel, you will have the option to synchronize your Hosting Plans with the options set up in WHM, and create new ones. Or just omit the plans and set whatever quota you like for every new account.
This is with VDS/VPS.
If you happen to run a physical dedicated server with installed WHM/CPanel, then you will have some extra options in the WHM to create resellers and monitor their activity. For this nice feature, I have seen, meta-resellers charge $30 mo, so that you can offer reseller plans even on a VDS.
More about the exciting prospects of the VDS/VPS technology, search the VDS Portal for virtual

Well, there are some people who don't want to manage the "technical" aspects of web hosting and like the simplicity of reseller packages...So, reseller packages won't dissapear all together.

The thing is VPS gives you more control and that is what people want more and more now. You can still have a control panel with a VPS so there is nothing stopping a VPS being as easy as a normal reseller, but on a VPS you have more freedom..
