Thread: Port forwarding
02-09-2004, 01:20 AM #1wirelessguyGuest
I have a client that is unable to use port 25 because of his local ISP blocking it, is it possible to setup a port forward to another port such as 26?

That is REALLY bizzare you might check to see if he's just trying to connect to port 25 not having people connect to HIS computer on port 25 as MOST isp's will not block it as its a major port.
But, if you really need too, yes you can you can run a ftpd on any port you want without port forwarding it. (Edit your ftpd.conf file and change the port from 25 to something else) Where your ftpd.conf file is and what it is SPEFICIALLY called can be different on every machine.
