What happens if I exceed my allocated bandwidth?

You will most probably see a "Bandwidth Exceeded" page.

If you don't get a bandwidth exceeded page (since it can be disabled by your host) then you will likely get a hefty bill at $2-$5 per GB overage.

We have the bandwidth exceeded pages enabled. We do not unsuspend until we have consent from our customers that they want to upgrade plans or pay for overage bandwidth. It saves them time and secures that they do not run up a bill unknowingly.Kris

If you are talking in terms of exceeding bandwidth on a dedicated server, then your datacenter will just bill you for overages on how much you have gone over.
Check with them to see what their rates are.
