Thread: Reseller and server question

I have a reseller package through dot5hosting.com so far its good because it is very very reasonable priced and is fiarly reliable. I feel safe using them for personal sites and smal small business that just need a web presence but not really interactive. My question is this. As a new person in this field I do not know mysql well. I do however know MS Access very well and maintain many offline database. If I had a windows server with .net capability woudl I be able to run those databases through a website? If so, are there any hosts out there that split their reseller packages so you can have a linux and windows server to fit their customers needs?

To make things easy, why don't you sign up for both Windows & Linux reseller? You can then sell them as you like.

Well, sometimes he might want to look into cutting cost. To get a windows reseller account is not cheap, yet thinking to addon to the cost of getting a linux reseller.
I would say that Windows hosting is not very common currently and the market is not hot for Windows hosting. Linux hosting's demand is higher and the pricing is cheaper.
But if you want to "conquer" the Windows hosting market, you would have to pull down your price so that you can challenge the meagre amount of Windows host.
