Thread: would this be wrong

i have a workable email collector.
its two perl scripts, one that scans any url you input...then analyzes the page for emails...
the next script records the email addy in a flat file to use for a bulk mailer.
its real simple and easy, nothing fancy at all.
What I want to know is, woudl it be wrong to sell this script? knowing that it may be used for spam? I was looking to sell it for $1.00 per copy
I just want to know what others think about people having scripts like this.

No, not real because you arent doing the spaming. Most people (hopefuly) will only use it for news letters but a few may use it for spaming.
Write a licence which stops people for using it to spam."Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."
