Hi all hosts , Just a idea for you what do you all think of adding a competition to a site to win a free hosting account, as a way of driving some initial traffic to your site???..you will get enough traffice through that..u can hold competitions for your members to receive free upgrades, domain names, etc.

Not a bad idea, however you must be careful when running such promotions. You need to make sure you do not give away to much for free so you go bankrupt.

I was planning to run one of these and auction off a dvd player. =)

Just make sure that you do not make too big a loss, or even better, make sure u make a profit out of that. Your idea is good, but most people would visit your site out of getting freebies (the unwanted traffic) rather than purchase your stuffs ...
