PHP is #1 that's around there in my opinion. Also I suggest Java and jQuery (JavaScript framework).

Probably php is most popular now. And it is very easy to be learnt by programming (in practice).

Hi guys
With a new year upon us, it’s a time to examine the big questions: what is the best place to buy lottery tickets? Should I buy a puppy? But seriously, the sands of tech are changing rapidly so everyone should be looking to expand their repertoire, as in ‘what programming language should I learn next?’
Thanks for all friends

I did personally suggest starting with php if you're looking at a server-side language, simply because of how many hosts support it, how many other people know it (who you can turn to for support), and how simple it is to pick up if you've done a bit of programming in the past.

I think the best programming language is JAVA as it is platform independent, also it is very simple to learn. And it has many new features and tools for the developing the new softwares, also it has better GUI for the softwares.

I have been told C and i'd put my money on C because it is a gateway into many other languages. i have also been told to say away from visual basic and python as First Languages because python doesn't have all the parts you would need to learn from a compiled language and visual basic is a microsoft only language which boxes you in as your first language.
