Kernel parameters

Hello Guys,

If I change the kernel parameters, do I need to reboot the server? Or it all depends on
the parameter?

That depends. What are the kernel parameters you changed and how? If you've recompiled the kernel, you need to reboot the server in the new kernel to get it in effect.

Anyway, in order to test the new kernel it would be better to reboot.

If you recompile the kernel, make sure keep the backup copy of the original kernel. If there is any issue, you can boot off from the old original kernel.
