      help about firewall

Is there a firewall that will download inspite of other firewalls when they are running? My husband is having problems with firewall from programs because of other firewalls that may be preventing them. I have 3 that I can see that are running on my computer with no problem. But, we can't seem to get one on his besides the windows one. Can you help?

The best way to solve the problem is to remove all firewalls and then install a single firewall.

You are on linux right? If so install a firewall such as APF or CSF they are both rather good ones and updated frequently (CSF More)

Remove 'em all then put on just one, or shut down Windows and then put on a different one that you want. 3 firewalls, that can definitely create some headaches.

Having too many firewalls will definitely create problems ..
Better you switch to one only.

Having more than one firewall is pointless, it'll only cause problems. Software firewalls are also easily compromised. I'd look into the Linksys WRT54G (assuming you're on a small home network). You can pick one up at Best Buy or Staples, Office Depot should have them too.

CSF is a great firewall, we have no problems using that.

why do you have 3 firewalls installed anyways? Are there features from them you need? Please tell me, then i can maybe suggest a new firewall for you.

You should also check settings in all your firewalls, then you will be able to download
