Linux server
How do you setup a Linux network? Do you still have to share the Internet connection on the server? I remember reading something about it, and also about how hard it is to setup a secure network.

I am not much experienced but to enable networking, you must configure your network interface card or cards with an IP address and netmask. The kernel must have support for your cards compiled in, either as modular support or direct support.

Linux Server offers more hardware support, is easier to configure and offers more security options. This will give us a list of the programs accepting connections (listening) and their ports. It is very easy to install in your home Pc and use it very simple.

Linux servers are increasingly popular due in part to the inherent stability and security of open source, but also because the Linux servers are much cheaper to set up compared to running Windows. And when you consider that most implementations are also equipped with a mass of supporting software package Web servers, databases and e-mail.
