Ubuntu vs Mint

Again and again I hear that Ubuntu is the better choice. It is very user friendly and it has a regular six month release cycle. Free and open source is also almost always appreciated.

Problem is ubuntu fucked up with the gnome desktop

linux mint is based on ubuntu like old times ubuntu.

other then that ubuntu still daddy and will be back on top once they put gnome back
