Light weight Linux distros

If you have an old computer and want to run Linux on it, a couple of distros that work nicely are Puppy Linux and Damn Small Linux. Just because a computer is old doesn't mean it still can't be useful.

my advocacy is to anguish added about your window administrator than the distro itself. XFCE, Fluxbox and added WMs are failing and will accord you added of a achievement addition than distro-hopping. If you're installing from scratch, there are distros out there that will install these WMs as default. Xubuntu and Fluxbuntu are the aboriginal that appear to mind, but there are affluence of others.

Sorry, tomandrew, but I really have no idea what you are trying to say. All I was trying to point out was that old computers don't have to be discarded because you can still use a lite version of Linux to bring it back into productivity.

I think that tomandrew is a posting bot. He is just there to make more posts for the forum. In all reality this type of thing turns people off because they make no sense. damn Small Linux is a great package for a old machine.
