    The first?

What was your first Linux distro? Have you started with the text based one? Was it really hard? Or did you just dive into a GUI one? When was the first time you ever installed Linux?

Was it easy for you to install Ubuntu? Why didn't you like RedHat? Was it difficult to manage? I've read here that RedHat is very good for servers, but not so good for desktops.

No, it was not very for me to install it, i needed my friend's assistance to install it successfully. I did not like redhat because it was slow and full of extra stuff.

RedHat is really good in enterprise server level. They provide excellent support. If the server crashed, if you upload the dump file, they will debug it and let you know with all the info.

    Thanks,

The first I tried was Ubuntu, and it got me interested in Linux. I've also tried and liked Redhat, but as written in many places, it is not suited for running in a desktop.

Was it simple for you to set up Ubuntu? Why didn't you like RedHat? Was it tricky to manage? I've read now that RedHat is very first-rate for servers, but not so superior for desktops.
