I love Ubuntu. I ordered the free Live+Installation CD from their website and received the cd within a couple of weeks.
I'm able to run the live version from the CD, but always get an error when trying to install it on top of Windows.
Anyways, I like everything about Ubuntu, its highly recommended for people that're just starting with Linux.

Ubuntu is for begginers. To get your foot in the door. After you've seen what Linux is capable of, you'll switch from Ubuntu to Fedora, or OpenSuse, i guarantee it.

I used to use ubuntu on my home system but have switched it back to Windows for gaming. Gnome is definitely better than KDE.
