    Keyword density??

I was wondering whether keyword density played a role in determining a website's or blog's PR?
If yes, then how am I supposed to find out which keyword I should be strengthening ? Can I spread many keywords throughout the website?(I guess that would be a good idea.)

Keyword density is a factor in page ranking.

Keyword density is expressed as a %. Eg if you had 100 words on a page and you used the same keyword in those 100 words 3 times - the keyword density for that page would be 3%.

Most web designers will aim for a keyword density on a page to be from around 1% - 5% maximum. Any more than that could be classified as 'keyword stuffing' and search engines will penalise a page for this.

There is a brief article about keyword density here to get you started - it has more linked information towards the end of the page.

Keyword density is a combination of the number of times a keyword or a keyword phrase, in proportion with other words, appears on a Web page. The more times the keyword appears in relation to the total number of on page words, the greater the overall keyword density. The more times that other words appear, the lower the proportion of keywords, resulting in a lighter keyword density.

Keyword density has an effect, yes.

But you'd need to do proper keyword research before. There'd be little point in keyword optimizing for "host" since that's such a high-competition keyword that you'd struggle to ever get near page 1 for that term.

But yes, keyword optimization combined with external SEO (i.e. backlinking) can be good for good keywords.

definitely no, you cannot spread keywords all over your site. It will become spamming and keyword stuffing. Read some information about keyword density and keyword proximity.

Keyword density plays an important role in page ranking on the website. People should focus eyes on it and pay attention to the significance.

    Keyword density's Importance

Keyword density is important because search engines use this information to categorize a site's theme, and to determine which terms the site is relevant to. The perfect keyword density will help achieve higher search engine positions. Keyword density needs to be balanced correctly (too low and you will not get the optimum benefit, too high and your page might get flagged for “keyword spamming”).

It does, but it's not something you should be focused on.
