How Often Does Google analytics Update Traffic? I have inserted the code last night and still not updated yet.

Analytics traffic gets updated over a period of 24 hrs generally.

From within your Google Analytics account > Overview > www.yourdomain.com
What is the "Status" column displaying? IF there is a triangle icon with an exclamation, it means your analytics code is not transmitting / communicating with Google Analytics - i.e. your code hasn't been installed correctly in your websites' page(s).
However, if it displays a Green Tick - this means the code is communicating with Google - and if you are showing zero visitors - then most likely whatever page(s) you've installed the code in, hasn't received any visitors.

Hourly stats are a few hours late ... usually around 3 hours. Daily stats you have updated once a day.

I have a question as well. Can we change the update time? Is there a option to do that?

There is no provision for us to chnage the update frequency

No you are right, you can not change the frequency. That is one of the only things which I dont like about this product is that the stats lag somewhat.

I find that the stats are 1-3 hours behind but never more than 3 hours. I wonder if it also depends on the amount of traffic your site gets because I noticed that as the popularity of one of my sites increased over time, the stats were updated more often with a 1 hour lag than the 3 hours that was at first.

Yes every 24 hours

Are you sure about that as I am pretty certain that Google Analytics updates their stats more then once a day. Where did you get this information if you don't mind me asking?

I observed today and my traffic is about 3-4 hours behind.
