    1and1 domain cancellation Help

I am in the process of canceling some domains I had registered on 1and1. They seemed to be pretty good in the beginning registration was cheap and it comes with free private whois I am trying to cancel some names I dont want anymore. I did the whole cancel url thing now I need to fax the paper...but it seems their line is always busy or they just disconnected it? I can't fax it...I am on the phone on hold...and its taking a while....Anyone dealt with this before can give me some advice?

Have you tried to send them support ticket? Do they have Live Chat?

Customers' safety should be the main goal for any company... it seems like they don't offer good support to their customers.

I would advise to keep on the phone and speak to an advisor. See if they have an alternative fax line you can use.

You could try faxing at off-hours (their fax machine probably isn't busy in the middle of the night), or scan the form that they want you to fax and email it, or you could also mail them a hard copy. If/when you do get to speak with a rep on the phone ask them to email you a confirmation that they have received your cancellation and are processing it, so that you have it in writing.

I agree. I am sure there would be an email ID where you can send them a scanned copy as attachment and ask them to confirm the receipt of this though an email acknowledgement. This would be better for both you and the domain registrar. Their support page lists billing@1and1.com as the ID for billing (cancellation would be under their purview). You may email them at this ID and take it further from there.
