Domain age query

Hi,

It's pretty much well known that google values the age of a domain very highly. But I just wanted to ask a couple of questions about how the domain age is handled:

If a 5 year old domain expires, and I register it, does it remain a 5 year old domain in google's eyes, or does it become a brand new domain again?

If I buy a 5 year old domain from someone, therefore all the registration details change, does google keep recognising it as a 5 year old domain?

Google gives lot of value to the aged domain names. If a 5 year old domain is expired and if it registered again with in 60 days after expiry date, Then the domain has it's own value as 5 year old one.

You know, if you are planning to buy an old domain because you know the advantages of having an old domain that Google will treat differently from newly-born domains, you'd better buy the one that has already been known with the niche you are going to use.

As long as you buy it before 60 days after it expires then you have no problems

I suppose that if a domain expired and someone again registered then it's a fresh new domain as domain reg. date changed so google considers it as a new domain.

domain age is calculated from the time of domain is registered. in case of yours yes it is a 5 year old domain. you can know the age of the domain from who is tool. you domain registry date will be displayed while checking it. with the help of that you can determine the age of the domain. i checked my domain age from WhoisXY.com
