I belive hosting a domain is a better option over parking domain. With this domain parking we can create some traction of traffic and also build weight to pages and target to spacific key words.

This not only keeps the domain healthy but also generats traffic and in some case we can also start building backlinks. By the time our project or the website is ready we have a fare amount of traffic traction on the domain.
