Most expensive domain ever sold
I wanted to know how much money can be made by the owner of a very popular domain?
What is the most expensive domain ever sold?
Please do not mention sites like google, yahoo, wikipedia, gamespot,etc.......because I doubt the owner will ever sell these domains.
It would be nice if you mention the Alexa ranking of the domain in question.

That depends on the domain name on the niche for that domain name and for the domain name extension. All existing domain name extensions are already taken and I suppose if you want start investing in this now you need to start with new domain name extensions. In any case good luck

Some domain name should be very expenseive because the niche for the domain name or the extension should be valuable .Clients can take for granted that is worth the price .

The price of a domain, no matter how astounding it would be, doesn't justify the price of similar domains. You always need some luck to earn well from domains.
The most expensive domain ever sold, I believe, is sex.com?Choose a good host and create a good site.

The highest this year was Toys.com for just over $5m.
The highest ever was arguably Business.com for $50m, but that did include the business that was based on the domain, too.

Nice facts there. Looks like with business.com the domain wasn't valued anywhere near $50 million. I'm sure their traffic and ad dollars played into the price a little bit. Yahoo purchased omg.com fro a good chunk of change too. To think something that cost $9.00 to register will go for $5 million.

The embodyment of some domain name should be on the value about the impact of domain so that the traffic should be large and attractive.
