If you cannot get a name will you be willing to buy one with a "-" in it?

Dashes are a good option while selecting a domain name. As it is, many website names have multiple words in them. It is nice to have word separators for better readability.

that doesn't matter have you dash in the domain name or no, that just should be nice name (you like) and this name should be memorable.

There's no absolute disadvantages as far as SEO goes to be honest - as abacus a birr allows you to get some abundant domains with able keywords.

The alone absolute botheration is claimed alternative - say your-website.com is adequate but accepting lots of hyphens your-website-domain-name.com isn't recommended as it's awkward to type. - And i'm abiding you would get abscessed fingers accepting to blazon that area out.

So try to accumulate to application one abutment or none if you can advice it.

I'd prefer to avoid domains with dashes.
They look not very good and they are bad for SEO.

    are bad for SEO.
Not truth. The domain name itself cann't hurt or improve SEO, unless search is being done using google operator "inurl" or "allinurl"

Neither bad nor good. Sometimes they are necessary, but everytime all depends on the particular domain name.
