Adword means the use of a particular text ad that appears, when people search for phrases related to your offering of a product. It simply means advertising your product according to what the user searches in the search engines. If users input matches your adword then the traffic increases for your website.

Adsense is an application program to feed the ads by the website owners or advertisers to promote the product. So an ad containing website can be feed to the Adsense program to publish over the network.
